On Sunday 30th August a combined congregation gathered to say “Thank You” to Elizabeth Westphalen for her contributions to the life of All Souls’ Parish and community.

Kind words were spoken about, to and from Elizabeth as we recognised her good works and generous spirit. 

Churchwarden Pauline presented Elizabeth with flowers and gifts on behalf of the congregation.

Elizabeth thanked the congregation and recalled special memories  of her time as Sunday School teacher, religious instruction teacher, Playgroup leader, sacristan, lay reader and many other valuable roles she filled during nearly 60 years as a member of All Souls’ congregation

As is the tradition, there was a cake to cut and share for morning tea.  Elizabeth was ‘assisted’ by Aadhini in this task. 

Elizabeth’s family joined the Parish for her special day.  Her children Shaun and Lynley and Lynley’s husband Gary could see high esteem and affection in which Elizabeth is held by the Parish.
